Job summary

AdventHealth in Lake Wales, FL seeks a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensuring image quality and safety. You will collaborate with radiologists to provide comprehensive patient care and maintain rigorous QC practices.

Candidates must understand radiology software (Cerner, Radworks, PACS), manage time efficiently, and communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human physiology and radiation safety principles.
• Experience with Scintigraphic equipment, acquisition computers, and processing stations.
• Familiarity with Hot Lab equipment and radiopharmacy workflows.
• Ability to learn new tasks related to image quality and patient safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with diverse staff.
• English language proficiency; good reading/writing skills.
• Proficient with common computer apps and radiology software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment meets quality control requirements.
• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures with camera acquisition and processing.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging.
• Maintain tidy exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Enter quality control data and exam charges promptly.
• Verify patient/exam accuracy and manage after-hours transmissions.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare radionuclide for procedures.
