Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures with emphasis on safety and quality. You will work closely with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure accurate imaging and patient care across age groups.

The role requires ARRT RT(N) or CNMT certification, BLS, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. PRN schedule with two shifts per month minimum and holiday coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT RT(N) or CNMT certification and BLS.
• Experience with nuclear medicine equipment and imaging protocols.
• Strong knowledge of safety and ALARA principles.
• Ability to work with radiologists and diverse teams.
• Proficiency with radiology software such as Cerner, RadWorks, and PACS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment meets quality control requirements and performs patient examinations utilizing age-specific care techniques.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
• Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, including camera acquisition and processing.
• Maintains room readiness, stocks supplies, and documents maintenance and malfunctions.
• Documents quality control and patient data in the Nuclear Medicine Information System and Order Communication System in a timely manner.
• Verifies patient/exam accuracy on images and communicates after-hours exam status as needed.
