Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for per diem PRN day shifts. You will perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, ensure image quality and safety, and collaborate with radiologists to provide high-quality patient care.

This role requires ARRT RT(N) or CNMT, BLS, and the ability to work independently in a busy department; benefits start day one and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Nuclear Medicine or related field.
• ARRT RT(N) or CNMT certification required or eligible.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with imaging quality control and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment meets quality control requirements and performs patient examinations safely.
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
• Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures with camera acquisition and processing, adapting to new technology.
• Maintains room readiness and documents work orders for malfunctioning equipment.
• Records quality control data and exam charges accurately in systems.
• Verifies patient/exam accuracy before releasing images; notifies after-hours staff as needed.
• Prepares radionuclides for procedures and explains procedures to patients.
