Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensuring safety and high-quality imaging while collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams.

You will prepare radionuclides, operate imaging equipment, and document data in NMIS and PACS, with responsibilities including quality control, scheduling, and handling after-hours exams. Must meet licensure requirements and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

Knowledge of human physiology.
Knowledge of Scintigraphic equipment, Acquisition computers, and processing stations.
Knowledge of Hot Lab equipment.
Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety.
Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Ensures equipment meets quality control requirements and performs patient examinations with age-specific care techniques.
Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare providers for imaging and continuity of care.
Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures with camera acquisition and computer processing.
Maintains room readiness and documents work orders for malfunctioning equipment.
Plans and manages data entry into NMIS and OSC in a timely manner.
Confirms examination/patient assignment on images before release and notifies staff of after-hours exams.
