Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a per diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) to join our Imaging team. You will perform a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensure QC, and support patient safety across adult and pediatric populations. This role requires strong teamwork and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Cerner, Radworks, and PACS, plus clear communication, are essential. BLS and RT(N)/CNMT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate radiology software and equipment.
• Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment meets quality control requirements and performs patient examinations safely.
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
• Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures with camera acquisition and processing.
• Maintains room readiness; stocks supplies and prepares equipment for next patient.
• Records QC data and exam charges in the information systems promptly.
• Verifies patient/exam details and communicates after-hours exam status as needed.
• Identifies patients per guidelines and ensures exam indicators meet requirements.
• Prepares radionuclides and explains procedures to patients; follows safety protocols.
• Assists with additional duties to ensure smooth department operation.
