Baptist Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to oversee patient flow, coordinate exam assignments, and support radiologists in Nuclear and PET procedures. The role requires CNMT or ARRT(N) certification and BLS, with hands-on preparation of radiopharmaceuticals and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories, producing quality images, using EPIC for documentation, and assisting with invasive procedures under supervision as needed.
PRN / 8-hour shifts. Start times will vary between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, depending on department needs. Under the direction of the department supervisor, oversee the daily flow of patients through the department and coordinate daily exam assignments. Perform nuclear medicine procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation and other forms of energy. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Responsible for all records and charting of information related to individual cases. Collect patient histories and other related information, coordinating and communicating with the radiologist and all others as needed. Follow department protocols and produce quality images for each exam. Provide immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Continuously monitor the patient through the exam. Assist Radiologist with exam when necessary and with invasive procedures. Effectively use EPIC. Assist physicians in performance of Nuclear and PET examinations by preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals under the directions of a radiologist.
