Job summary

Baptist Health Imaging in Lexington, KY is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Imaging Department, which delivers CT, X-ray, MRI and more with access to state-of-the-art equipment. Our team collaborates with surgery and oncology to provide comprehensive patient care across the community.

The CT Tech will perform CT procedures, process images, and maintain professional and ethical standards while ensuring patient safety and comfort during exams.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in radiologic technology.
• Current ARRT Registry (Radiologic Technology).
• Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Advanced ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography required within one year of hire.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains ethics.
• Recognizes patient conditions to provide appropriate care and successful exam completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
• Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.
