Job summary

Harbor Health in El Paso, TX is seeking a dedicated PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary and episodic care on an as-needed basis. You will deliver member-centered care with flexible scheduling—approximately 5 shifts per month—while maintaining high clinical standards in a payvider model.

Responsibilities include comprehensive exams, diagnosing, treatment planning, ordering tests, and coordinating with a collaborative team. DEA and NCCPA/board certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current state NP/PA licensure.
• Board certification by NCCPA or nursing board.
• Current DEA registration with prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in primary/urgent care or related.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with collaboration.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and episodic care to members on a PRN basis.
• Perform exams, health assessments and medical histories.
• Diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Order and interpret labs, tests, and imaging.
• Prescribe medications within scope and guidelines.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Counsel on treatment plans, medications and health promotion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Coordinate care and referrals when appropriate.
• Document encounters thoroughly in EHR and maintain protocols.
