Job summary

University Health KC seeks a Clinical Nurse RN for the Inpatient Float Pool at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This is a PRN, part-time role with a night schedule (6:45 PM–7:15 AM), totaling about 4 hours per week.

The nurse will assess patients, plan and deliver care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, supervise students, and contribute to program evaluations and education while adhering to the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification.
• If applying for a PRN position: At least one year of medical/surgical experience OR one year of prior experience in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on their diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using your expert skills.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all organizational and regulatory requirements.
