Job summary

Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the UH Lakewood Medical Center float pool. This full-time night shift (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) covers 36 hours per week and delivers care to patients with acute, chronic, or terminal illnesses.

You will assess patients, plan and evaluate nursing care, work with an interdisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes, mentor students, and participate in committees, research, and education while complying

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current Missouri RN license
• Current BCLS certification
• If applying for a PRN position: at least one year of medical/surgical experience OR one year of prior experience in the specialty area

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education
• Supervise and mentor students
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all regulatory requirements
