Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Muskegon County Jail in Muskegon, Michigan. The role involves night shifts with full-time and PRN options and offers competitive wages with an annual incentive bonus and comprehensive benefits.

The RN delivers quality care within state practice acts, delegates duties appropriately, and advocates for patient safety while leading care within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or have graduated from an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current license in this state.
• Active CPR certification.
• ER Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
• Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Instruct individuals or groups on health education and disease prevention.
