Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state practice acts and regulations governing nursing practice.
• Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, report, and respond to changes in patients' condition.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Modify treatment plans as needed based on patient response.
• Supervise less-experienced nursing or healthcare staff.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Educate patients and families on health topics and disease prevention.
