Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies in Michigan is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Registered Nurse at Muskegon County Jail to provide high-quality care within the facility’s standards. The RN will administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or have graduated from an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current license in this state (Michigan).
• RN works within local practice acts and regulations and delegates/supervises nursing activities as appropriate.
• Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude for the role.
• ER experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors reactions and side effects.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors, records, and reports changes in patients' condition.
• Coordinates with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by responses and conditions.
• Supervises less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel as needed.
• Prepares patients for examinations or treatments and assists as required.
• Educates patients and families on health topics and prevention.
