Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Seasonal Patient Care Technician for the Central Staffing Office in Arlington, TX. This PRN role requires availability for night shifts (7PM–7AM), 36 hours/week, and provides $30.00 per hour.

You may float across zones as needed to meet department demands. Requirements include a high school diploma and BCLS upon hire; 1 year of recent clinical experience or nursing student/military medical training accepted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (REQUIRED)
• 1 year experience required within the last 3 years (REQUIRED) OR
• No experience required if a nursing student who has completed fundamentals or military experience with medical training equivalent (REQUIRED)

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collect patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provide and Revise patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enter orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Document accurately and appropriately.
• In collaboration with the nurse, adapt care to reflect patient population.
• In collaboration with nurse, incorporate cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keep patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipate patient/family and visitor needs and take action to meet those needs and rounds as appropriate.
