Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Seasonal Patient Care Technician to join the Central Staffing Office in Arlington, TX. You will work primarily in Region B, with day shifts from 7AM to 7PM and 36 hours/week. BCLS is required; a HS diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Eligible candidates may float to other zones based on needs.

The role is PRN with no eligibility for FT/PT benefits, offering flexible scheduling and a chance to contribute to high-quality patient care across THR hospitals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (REQUIRED).
• 1 year experience required within the last 3 years (REQUIRED) OR
• No experience required if a nursing student who has completed fundamentals or military experience with medical training equivalent (REQUIRED).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collect patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provide and Revise patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enter orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Document accurately and appropriately.
• In collaboration/consultation with the nurse, adapt care to reflect patient population.
• In collaboration/consultation with nurse, incorporate cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keep patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipate patient/family and visitor needs and take action to meet those needs and rounds as appropriate.
