Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Arlington, TX is seeking a Seasonal Patient Care Technician for the Central Staffing Office. This PRN role requires 36 hours per week with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM and a pay of $30.00 per hour.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of recent experience, or be a nursing student with completed fundamentals or military medical training. BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is REQUIRED.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years is REQUIRED.
• No experience required if a nursing student who has completed fundamentals or military medical training is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collect patient data and report significant findings to nurse.
• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provide activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enter orders into computer or manual system.
• Document accurately and appropriately.
• Adapt care in collaboration with the nurse to reflect patient population and beliefs.
• Keep patient environment clean and safe.
• Anticipate patient/family needs and respond accordingly.
