Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Lab, PRN on third shift. You will perform routine procedures on blood, urine, and tissue samples and report results promptly and accurately to support patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ensuring timely reporting of findings, and serving as an educator as needed. AAS in Laboratory Science/MLT or equivalent is required, with certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology required; in lieu, military training or equivalent education may be accepted as specified.
• Must obtain MLT certification from ASCP or AMT within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory procedures on specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Analyze test results to determine the presence, absence, or cause of disease.
• Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and timely reporting of findings.
• Function as an educator as necessary.
