Job summary

Baptist Health in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN third-shift position in the Laboratory team.

You will maintain technical competency, understand LIS functions, evaluate procedures, identify problems with specimens and test orders, and communicate effectively with staff to ensure accurate, timely results.

Required is an Associate's degree and certification eligibility in clinical laboratory science (CLS) or CLS certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Certified or eligible for CLS certification.
• Certification within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains technical competency related to job functions.
• Understands LIS functions and downtime procedures.
• Evaluates procedures and selects appropriate investigative techniques.
