Job summary

Quality Correctional Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN night shift in Cheatham County. The role involves providing nursing services in a correctional setting under physician direction, delivering care per nursing standards, and ensuring patient confidentiality.

The position pays $32 per hour with a $2 shift differential. Requirements include an accredited program, LPN/LVN license, CPR, and at least one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in corrections.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
• Current CPR.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN.
• One year of experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond and intervene to all emergency situations.
• Conduct patient intake paperwork.
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medication.
• Conduct Sick Call clinic.
• Order / maintain supply of patient medication from pharmacy.
• Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
• Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs.
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit.
• Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition.
• Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions.
• Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
