The LPN participates in the clinical aspects of patient care under supervision, upholding nursing standards within a correctional environment, and collaborating with the healthcare team and security staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program and hold an active LPN license in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Corrections experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care as part of the healthcare team in a correctional setting.
• Under supervision of RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, or Physician.
• Maintain nursing ethics and standards per State Board of Nursing and other accrediting bodies.
