Job summary

Quality Correctional Health Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN Day Shift position in Carroll County, Tennessee. The LPN provides nursing care under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator within a correctional environment.

Pay rate is $26/hr. Responsibilities include patient intake, medication orders, sick calls, and accurate documentation, with emphasis on confidentiality and adherence to nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School.
• Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience as an LPN.
• One year of experience in a correctional health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and intervene in all situations
• Conduct patient intake paperwork
• Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
• Administer medications following nursing standards
• Document ordered treatments, patient care, and labs
• Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and provider sick calls
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist with training new personnel
• Follow organizational policies, procedures & guidelines
