Job summary

Quality Correctional Health Care in Walker County, AL seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide patient care in a correctional clinic. PRN with day and night shifts, base pay $28/hour plus a $4 shift differential, and duties per nursing standards.

Under supervision of Site Administrator, the LPN performs vital signs, medications, triage, documentation, and patient education, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulations.

Qualifications

• Accredited vocational/technical school graduate.
• LPN or LVN license valid at time of application.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum one year of clinical LPN experience; correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs.
• Assist with activities of daily living for inmates.
• Assess and report changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications per nursing standards.
• Document patient information and nursing interventions.
• Implement triage/sick-call procedures for the facility.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a clean environment.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
