Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiological exams using appropriate imaging equipment.
• Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
• Interview patient to obtain/update medical history and assess risk factors.
• Explain procedures, risks and alternatives to patients; obtain consent as needed.
• Set up equipment and acquire images as per protocol.
• Review images, note deviations, and communicate data to radiologist.
• Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
• Participate in process improvement and quality of care initiatives.
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists and new staff.
• Take call/standby as required by the department.
