Qualifications

• RN license in AL or compact state required.
• BLS certification mandatory; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• 0–2 years in clinical nursing or student rotations in acute care.
• Knowledge of obstetrics, labor/delivery, postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist during labor and delivery and with procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the care team.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record.
