Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center NICU is seeking a part-time PRN RN to provide specialized neonatal care in a designated Level III unit. You will assess patients, implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role includes day and night shifts, some weekend work, and rotating holidays. A BSN is preferred; RN license in good standing and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in neonatal or critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Applies nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and collaborates to optimize outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ethics.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• Float to other units as needed within the service area.
• Demonstrates communication and delegation within the care team.
