Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• 1 year of experience required
• MRI certification within 12 months of hire
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic MRI images safely using MRI equipment
• Review patient chart/physician order to select imaging parameters
• Choose appropriate imaging coil for each study
• Perform imaging with correct protocols and sequences
• Collaborate with physicians to optimize MRI sequences for high-quality images
• Document patient data and procedures in the HIS/Radiology records
• Manage safety screenings and contraindication checks for MRI
• Assist with daily clerical duties and scheduling as needed
• Participate in on-call coverage per Radiology dept. policy
