Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, FL is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort while following physician orders and departmental protocols. You will operate MRI scanners, prepare contrast, and document results in EMR/PACS.

Must hold ARMRIT and RT(MR) registrations and BLS, with strong communication skills. The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends or holidays, and a commitment to ongoing education and safety

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of MRI procedures and scanners.
• Ability to learn and grow with new technology.
• Excellent customer service and MRI safety knowledge.
• Read/write English proficiently and use EMR/PACS systems.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience/knowledge of computers and networking is a plus.
• Maintain required registries and licenses for imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Notify appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures, contrast, and safety.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for imaging.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast and monitor for reactions.
• Perform daily QC checks and adhere to policies.
• Follow protocols for patient identification and consent.
• Document in EMR and PACS systems accurately.
• Perform high-quality MRI exams per physician orders.
• Review patient history to confirm exam appropriateness.
