Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform MRI procedures, acquire high-quality images, and assist licensed practitioners in diagnostic imaging across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include contrast administration (where applicable), patient safety, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation. Flexibility to cover shifts within a 30-day period is required, with strong teamwork and communication a must.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• CPR and BLS certifications required.
• ACLS certification where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Local travel may be required.
• Valid driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality MRI images per protocols and imaging standards.
• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening and effective communication.
• Administer and document contrast as appropriate and allowed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and accurate EMR documentation.
• Train and orient new technologists or assistants as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
