Job summary

OrthoVirginia invites a PRN MRI Technologist to join a team focused on musculoskeletal imaging in a flexible schedule. You will perform high-quality MRI examinations in an orthopedic setting, position patients, and ensure comfort and safety throughout each visit.

This role offers evening and weekend shifts with the option to expand your hours or complement another position, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience performing MRI examinations in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and MRI safety.
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations while following established imaging protocols and MRI safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, explaining exams and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Review images for technical quality, proper positioning, and anatomical coverage.
• Accurately document patient and examination information and ensure images are properly processed.
• Follow MRI screening and safety procedures to protect patients, team members, and others entering the MRI environment.
• Prepare and maintain MRI rooms and equipment to support safe, efficient patient care.
• Partner with physicians and clinical team members to provide an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Maintain equipment and promptly identify or elevate potential safety or operational concerns.
• Support the imaging team as needed and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
