Job summary

Optim Orthopedics seeks a PRN MRI Technologist for Savannah & Statesboro locations. The role supports imaging services with flexible evenings and possible weekend shifts. You will review screening questionnaires, position patients, and perform scans with attention to safety and patient comfort.

Requirements include ARRT registration, CPR/BLS certification, and an associate degree in MRI. The team emphasizes patient experience and accurate image delivery to Radiologists.

Qualifications

• Assists with MRI screening, uses protocol to ensure safety.
• Reviews patient questionnaires and MR safe vs MR unsafe implants.
• Inputs patient data into MRI system with accuracy.
• Manages patient positioning and comfort during scans.
• Follows imaging protocols and contrast dosing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review MRI screening questionnaires with patients and explain what to expect.
• Position patients on the MRI table and protect dignity.
• Ensure patient comfort and monitor for claustrophobia or discomfort.
• Scan anatomy per protocols and manage contrast administration.
• Send images to PACS with brief patient history for Radiologist.
• Dispose of confidential information per policy.
