Job summary

OrthoVirginia is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations in an orthopedic setting. You will work with providers and clinical team members to create a comfortable, safe patient experience and support flexible scheduling.

This role offers evening and weekend shifts to complement other positions, with opportunities to expand musculoskeletal imaging experience across 35 locations in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations while following established imaging protocols and MRI safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, explaining exams and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Review images for technical quality, proper positioning, and anatomical coverage.
• Accurately document patient and examination information and ensure images are properly processed.
• Follow MRI screening and safety procedures to protect patients, team members, and others entering the MRI environment.
• Prepare and maintain MRI rooms and equipment to support safe, efficient patient care.
• Partner with physicians and clinical team members to provide an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Maintain equipment and promptly identify or elevate potential safety or operational concerns.
• Support the imaging team as needed and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

What You’ll Do

Compensation Range for this position: $35.58 - $53.37 Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
