Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a part-time PRN Microbiology professional for the Core Lab. The role conducts medium to high complexity microbiology testing, ensures specimen integrity, and maintains meticulous documentation.

On average 16–32 hours per week with day and evening shifts; weekend availability required. MLS (ASCP) certification or eligibility is required, with MLS/MASCP certification within one year of onboarding.

Qualifications

• MLS (ASCP) certification or eligibility required.
• B.A./B.S. in Biology or Chemistry.
• Must obtain MLS(ASCP)/M(ASCP) within one year of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Performs medium to high complexity Microbiology testing procedures.
• Assures integrity of specimens during testing.
• Maintains documentation/competency per SOPs.
