Qualifications

• MLS (ASCP) acceptable with MLS/MASCP certification within 1 year.
• B.A./B.S. in Biology or Chemistry or related discipline required or acceptable.
• Ability to perform microbiology testing with quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Performs medium to high complexity microbiology testing per protocols.
• Maintains specimen integrity through all testing phases.
• Performs slide preparation, staining, and quality control.
• Records results in EMR with accuracy.
• Participates in training and education of staff.
• Supports process improvements and equipment validation.
