Job summary

Logan Health Behavioral Health is seeking a PRN Mental Health Technician to support our inpatient unit. You will provide compassionate care, supervise patients, and document behaviors to assist with individualized treatment plans.

The role emphasizes safety checks, de-escalation strategies, and group activity facilitation within a residential psychiatric setting. Qualified candidates have prior MH facility experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, and complete required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in psychology, sociology, education or related field.
• Prior experience in residential, psychiatric, or mental health settings preferred.
• RQI Responder (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
• De-escalation training required within 12 months of hire.
• Knowledge of cultural, ethnic, social and spiritual issues related to mental health treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision to patients/clients and document behaviors.
• Support individualized treatment plans and safety checks to promote a safe environment.
• Facilitate group activities and encourage patient engagement and participation.
• Deliver basic patient care under supervision and maintain timely EMR documentation.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and collaborate with the treatment team.
