Good Samaritan Canistota is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will help with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support plan of care in a Christian, not-for-profit senior care setting.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Yearly competency testing and 12 hours continuing education annually.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance if applicable.
• Iowa CMA/CNA certification with State Board of Nursing and CMA/Certified Medication Aide coursework as applicable.
• Minnesota CNA certification and 75-hour course with MN Nursing Assistant Registry.
• North Dakota CNA certification with applicable CMA/Assistant course.
• South Dakota CMA certification must be maintained.
• All Good Samaritan facilities require state CMA/TMA certification and CNA registration within 120 days.

Aufgaben

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Communicate condition changes and care concerns to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transferring, positioning, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support to residents.
