Job summary

Grafton City Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for Laboratory Services. The PRN position involves performing standardized and advanced tests, obtaining specimens, and preparing reagents. You will review results, maintain records, and ensure quality control across testing procedures.

Responsibilities include data interpretation, instrument troubleshooting, and potential supervisory tasks in the absence of a supervisor. Knowledge of QC and laboratory computer systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Lab Tech is required.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB certification within 1 year of hire or CLP-MLT licensure before June 1, 2017, with WV rule compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of standardized and advanced tests in the laboratory.
• Obtains specimens and prepares samples for testing.
• Maintains records and reviews results for accuracy.
• Trains or supervises when supervisor is unavailable.
• Operates and troubleshoots instrumentation and QA procedures.
