Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical laboratory services team. You will analyze patient specimens, calibrate sophisticated laboratory equipment, and maintain strict adherence to regulatory guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care and diagnosis.

You will perform essential tests, manage quality control records, troubleshoot automated instrumentation, and ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications

Associates Of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA or High School GED in General Studies and completed an official military medical laboratory course and held the military enlisted occupational speciality of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Lab Technician) or High School Graduate and completed an official military medical laboratory course and held the military enlisted occupational speciality of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Lab Technician).
Preferred: AMT (MLT-AMT) or ASCP (MLT) or MLTECH.

Responsibilities

Align lab test procedures on patient specimens with SOPs to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
Provide patient care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of critical values to caregivers.
