Job summary

City of Hope in Scottsdale is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN, as-needed schedule covering Scottsdale and North Phoenix Outpatient Care Centers. The role performs routine and complex laboratory tests and reports results within expected turnaround times to support patient care.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field and certification (ASCP or AMT) within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required in medical technology, biological sciences, or related field.
• Certification (ASCP or AMT) required or eligible; must obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Experience with routine and complex lab testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests and report results within standard turnaround times.
• Maintenance, calibration, and quality control testing of laboratory equipment as required.
• Specimen transport, phlebotomy, and processing for both in-house and reference testing.
• Coverage for Scottsdale and North Phoenix Outpatient Care Centers as needed.
