Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN, as-needed M-F role, covering Scottsdale and North Phoenix Outpatient Care Centers. The technician will perform routine and complex tests, ensure timely results, and maintain equipment and QC procedures.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field and ASCP/AMT certification or eligibility within 18 months. City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Certification required (ASCP or AMT) or eligible to take exam within 18 months of hire.
• Experience with phlebotomy and specimen processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests and report results within the expected turnaround time.
• Perform equipment maintenance, calibration and quality control testing per procedures.
• Handle specimen transport, processing for in-house and send-out testing, and assist with logs and calls.
• Cover other Outpatient Care Centers as needed.
