Job summary

HealthGrades Analytics in Dallas is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant with scheduling responsibilities to support our clinics in the Dallas area. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and experience scheduling patients for exams, and performing MA duties within wellness testing.

Job description

SUMMARY:

We are searching for a PRN team member with Medical Assistant & Medical Scheduling skills to work in our clinics. Our ideal candidate will have great interpersonal communication skills. This is currently a PRN position to help cover in our Dallas area clinics in and around Dallas. We have clinics in other areas of Texas also.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Make outbound calls and take inbound calls.
• Ensure the office has the correct demographic and insurance information on file.
• Schedule patients for yearly exams.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments.
• Perform the MA portion of our advanced wellness testing.
• Call on campaigns to schedule.
• Meet weekly and monthly scheduling goals.
• Proactively implement and execute scheduling processes.
• Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering patient questions.
• Update patient records.
• Follow all HIPAA regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of clinic experience.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Experience with EMR Systems. Preferably ECW and Athena.
• POSITIVE, professional attitude and code of conduct.
• Excellent, professional communication skills.
• Ability to schedule/encourage pts to schedule.

Job Type: PRN - as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.

Schedule:

• Up to an 8-hour shift.
• Monday to Friday occasional Saturdays.

Work Location: In person @ Dallas
