Job summary

Marathon Health is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a positive guest experience, acting as both Medical Receptionist and clinical support.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, administering injections, managing front desk tasks, and collaborating with the care team to address patient needs. CPR/BLS certification is required at start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Coordinate and support care planning with the team to address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/check-out.
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as instructed.
