Job summary

VitalCheck Wellness Inc. seeks a PRN Medical Assistant with current phlebotomy skills to support an onsite clinic for a major San Francisco employer. The role covers intake, venipuncture, specimen handling, POC testing, vaccines when trained, referrals, and daily clinic operations.

You will work weekdays 8:00 AM–4:30 PM at the downtown San Francisco location, with PRN coverage based on clinic needs. Prior outpatient or employee-health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA or equivalent training per California requirements.
• Active California CPT with injection training/competency considered.
• Unrestricted California LVN license may be accepted.
• Current hands-on phlebotomy experience and venipuncture skills.
• Active BLS (CPR) certification and outpatient clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide a professional, supportive experience.
• Perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and document results.
• Provide phlebotomy and point-of-care testing within scope.
• Assist with vaccine administration when trained and authorized.
• Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Upload lab results into the EMR and maintain clinic readiness.
