Job summary

eHealthScreenings in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist for PRN, event-based health screenings at local companies. You will perform fingerstick and venipuncture, record biometric results, and transport supplies to events.

Flexible schedule; must be available mornings, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates have phlebotomy certification and strong customer service skills; one year of health screening or phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Current national phlebotomy certification OR approved program with hands-on externship.
• Active state-specific phlebotomy certification required for NV, CA, WA, and LA when performing phlebotomy.
• One year of health screening or phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Morning availability (Mon-Fri) for event-based work.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record biometric testing results (height, weight, blood pressure, BMI).
• Conduct fingerstick and venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare specimens for storage or processing.
• Set up and break down portable biometric stations at events.
• Transport supplies to and from health screening events as needed (up to 20 lbs).
• Maintain logs for laboratory transactions in compliance with regulations.

About the Role

These positions are as‑needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.

What would make you successful in this role? Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff, tech savviness and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and/or venipuncture blood draws in a fast‑paced environment
• Prepare specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw/biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintain logs and records for all laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday‑Friday) for event‑based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required
• Current national certification in phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
  • Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited phlebotomy program with hands‑on externship completed
  • Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
  • Active state‑specific phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA, WA, and LA

Experience

One year of health screening or phlebotomy experience preferred.

Compensation

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered, including experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
