Job summary

Blue Ridge Health is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant/LPN to join our Sylva, NC clinic. We will train you and offer opportunities for salary and career advancement, with a pay rate of $20.50 per hour and a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

As part of the BRH medical team you will assist with direct patient care, record vital signs, perform blood draws and EKGs, collect lab specimens, answer calls, and help ensure HIPAA compliance while contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred; must obtain within 18 months if not certified.
• LPN licensure in NC preferred; employer may sponsor license renewal.
• Bi-Lingual abilities preferred; language skills may be compensated.

Responsibilities

• Working in a fast-paced medical office setting.
• Assisting providers with delivering quality patient care.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.).
• Performing basic medical procedures such as blood draws and EKGs.
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
• Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and relaying information to providers.
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.
