Job summary

Blue Ridge Health in Highlands, NC seeks a PRN Medical Assistant/LPN to support direct patient care in a fast-paced clinic. Training is provided and there is room to grow with salary advancement opportunities.

The role requires a high school diploma and consideration for MA certification or NC LPN licensure. You will float between nearby sites and may earn more with language skills. Employment is on a PRN basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or RMA preferred; must obtain certification within 18 months of hire if not certified.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (NC) licensure preferred; we will pay renewal costs.

Responsibilities

• Working in a fast-paced medical office setting.
• Assisting providers with delivering patient care.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.).
• Performing basic medical procedures such as blood draws and EKGs.
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
• Recording patient information in electronic health records (EHR).
• Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and relaying information to providers.
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.
