Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant required, or Radiologic Technologist/Radiology Assistant.
• 1–3 years of direct patient care experience preferred; office/registration experience is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to cross-train in limited-scope radiology; prior X-ray experience is a plus.
• Strong computer and communication skills, including comfort using an electronic medical record.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, registration, and payment collection preferred.
• Able to meet physical requirements (standing/walking, lifting up to 20lbs).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person and by phone with a professional, friendly approach.
• Register patients accurately, including demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, explain basic payment responsibilities, collect payments.
• Answer phones, route messages, support patient questions, and update patient information in the EMR while HIPAA compliant.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and document health history, medications, and allergies.
• Assist providers with patient care tasks and procedures within scope, including physicals and splinting.
• Support waived lab testing, drug screens, blood alcohol testing, spirometry, and specimen handling.
• Complete limited radiology tasks after employer-provided training; document exams in the medical record.
