Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC seeks an experienced Medical Assistant in Rockford, IL to support a primary care team. The MA will serve as both receptionist and clinical assistant, taking vitals, handling specimens, and assisting with injections and immunizations as directed by the physician.

The role covers patient flow, chart updates, and coordinating referrals, with emphasis on delivering an excellent guest experience and accurate documentation in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• Minimum 1 year of MA experience, preferably in primary care.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked and clean.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures under physician supervision.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, charting and referrals.
• Process test results and communicate with patients.
