Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide holistic nursing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges in Georgia. You will observe health data, coordinate medical care, document care, and assist physicians during on-site clinics.

The role requires an accredited LPN program graduate with an active LPN license and CPR certification, plus the ability to train unlicensed staff per state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program is required.
• Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to certify for CPR.
• Possess credentials required by Federal or State law.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Observe, assist with gathering health data, and report health needs to the nurse.
• Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supported.
• Document nursing care provided.
• Assist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicable.
• Provide health-related trainings to unlicensed personnel per state regulations.
• Conduct medication pass observations to ensure staff competency.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure unlicensed personnel perform health-related tasks.
