Job summary

Masonic Homes Kentucky is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) PRN to supervise and coordinate nursing care in our care community. You will assess residents' needs, follow physicians' orders, and document care provided during shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The role requires a current LPN license in Kentucky, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Prior long-term care experience is helpful, with commitment to Resident Rights and quality care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN license in good standing in Kentucky.
• Completion of accredited LPN nursing program.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, turning, and assisting residents.
• Compassionate attitude and strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care per physicians' orders.
• Provide and document resident care and treatments.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Conduct resident rounds and report changes to nursing supervisor.
• Counsel Nursing Assistants and report concerns.
• Complete discharge/transfer documentation.
• Ensure compliance with residents' rights and safety policies.
• Count narcotics and manage emergency kit at shift start/end.
