Job summary

Masonic Homes of Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to supervise and coordinate nursing care in a long-term care setting. The role requires adhering to physician orders, policies, and residents' rights while ensuring timely communication with families and the care team.

PRN position with varied shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays. A Kentucky LPN license and CPR certification are required, with strong English communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN license in good standing in Kentucky.
• Completion of accredited LPN nursing program.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, turning, and assisting residents.
• Compassionate attitude and strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, provide and coordinate nursing care per orders and community policies.
• Interpret policies to nursing assistants, residents, families and physicians.
• Supervise and evaluate direct resident care and initiate corrective action.
• Report staffing needs and conduct resident rounds daily.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective actions.
• Administer and document medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Develop and implement care plans based on residents' needs and assessments.
• Follow admission, discharge/transfer procedures and coordinate with other departments.
